PLEASE EXPLAIN?(Pt. II)

I am me,
it’s self-explained.
My purpose in life,
a tedious game.

I came from within
and I go where I must,
my life will soon end
as it started, in dust.

Space is eternal
and teeming with life
but until its been proven,
I’ll let you decide.

Love is a feeling
of warmth and content,
a feeling that some
of the poor souls resent.

Pain is a feeling
but joy it is not,
a burn on the palm
from a coal, so hot.

Rest a while,
sit back and smile…

You are you,
explain it yourself,
as tall as a mountain
or small as an elf.

A friend is most welcome
to join in the song
but a foe isn’t wanted
and does not belong.

Memories are a way
of reliving the past,
for moments too short,
they just don’t seem to last.

Time has passed,
you watched it go by,
it’s amazing to see
just how it can fly.

Rest a while,
sit back and smile…

Strength is a force
that we all possess,
the amount that you use
is yours to impress.

No-one is stronger
for we all have our flaws,
used the right way
and it’s the end of your day.

The ones who take
are the lost and the needy
but some still abuse,
for they are just too greedy.

Nothing's worth taking
when put to the test
and a price can’t be placed
on the things we love best.

So, take this and heed
the warnings they read.

Search between the lines
for solutions entwine.

Sit back and smile,
rest a while…

…but above all,
never let go of that smile!

  1. Indeed. I was a teenager feeling my way through my new life and wondering what it was all about. Still am really lol.

A smile is a wonderful thing, and takes fewer muscles than a frown! I have often wondered about my purpose, especially after I retired, but I have found other things to give purpose.
